Acne Rosacea Skincare
Acne Rosacea skincare is a topic that's important to me. I was diagnosed with Rosacea in my thirties, and it runs in my family. This is me on a regular day when my Rosacea is under control. You'll see some light flushing. In the picture later on the page, you'll see an example of how Rosacea can flair up!

It can be a frustrating experience dealing with Rosacea. Understanding what you can do to help it, how to treat it, and how to cover it when it flairs up can be beneficial. I don't know about you, but my face is my calling card, and when you talk about skincare, you want your skin to look your best. Why am I showing you this? Here I am talking about skincare, and my skin isn't perfect...it's life. It's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about helping other people understand skincare! Life sometimes throws you a curve ball and it is what it is. I'm going to share my own personal experience with you here, so you can see that while you may get Rosacea, there are ways to deal with it. The picture I'm going to share with you, I took while I was having a flair up. I wanted to show people how using products like mineral make-up can help you on those flair up days. I have a webpage about Rosacea that I've used this picture on. It's a great example of seeing what Rosacea can look like.

You can see half of my face is flushed, and the other half is covered wearing mineral make up. Now my skin doesn't always flair up, and I use skincare for Rosacea. When we're talking about acne Rosacea skincare, it means I use gentle products and products that help reduce redness and calm my skin. Now that you've seen what Rosacea can look like, let's discuss what it is, and what causes it to flair. Skincare for Rosacea acne is similar to skincare for sensitive skin. You need to use very gentle products, be sure not to over exfoliate, in fact using enzymes will work well for you, rather than an abrasive physical scrub. You want to look for calming and soothing ingredients. Ingredients like Azulene, calendula, chamomille and green tea are all some. You can also look for lavender and tea tree oil as soothing ingredients. The sun, spicy foods and extreme temperatures (hot or cold) can cause you to flair. Also avoid alcohol. What is Rosacea? Rosacea is a vascular condition of your skin which causes flushing, redness, and sometimes even bumps such as pustules. Some people also get Rosacea of the eye, this is called Ocular Rosacea. People are often looking for Rosacea cures. While there is no cure, there are ways to control or lessen the redness. There is Rosacea laser treatment, skin care for Rosacea, and you can cover Rosacea. Make-up is one of the things shown by my picture above. When it comes to Rosacea care, see your dermatologist for answers, and look for products that are specific for treating Rosacea. He may prescribe a medication for short term correction if you have a special event like a wedding, or offer you a cream or gel. Some people have better luck with it than others. I find using good products help me more than the cream did. They may lessen the symptoms and make you feel more comfortable with your appearance. Have a Rosacea skin condition can be frustrating. I know my skin is constantly changing, one day looking calm and great, another day I'm treating Rosacea because I'm in a full flare up. *I've started laser treatments for Rosacea. You can follow along here as I go through them. I'll be posting updates each month.
