Acne Rosacea
Is acne Rosaca actually acne? Well, the symptoms seem similar, but actually they are two different things! It's easy to mistake the two, beacuse both conditions can have pimples and bumps but with Rosecea there are no blackheads and whiteheads. Did you know that treatments for both these conditions differ? That means that they can adversely affect recovery- so it's important to know which type you actually have! Some Rosecea myths are: If you had acne as a teenager you'll get Rosecea as an adult – WRONG! Rosecea is often referred to as adult acne but there is no direct link between the two conditions, Rosecea is a vascular condition where blood rushes to the face and acne is a bacterial/skin pore condition. In fact, I had brilliant and clear skin as a teen, but got Rosacea in my 30's! Acne rosecea is contagious – WRONG! Rosecea is NOT contagious. What you eat causes Rosecea – WRONG! Research has shown that what you eat has no direct influence on any type of acne or Rosecea. While it can't cause Rosacea, it can cause your Rosacea to react in some people!
