Bare Minerals Makeup
or Natural Mineral Makeup

I love bare minerals makeup, natural mineral makeup, mineral based makeup, or whatever you want to call it! I have fallen in love this incredible product! When I was in esthetician school, it was first introduced to me. A Jane Iredale rep came in, and we also worked with Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. As soon as school let out, I went to the store in search of Bare minerals makeup, because I was blown away with what it did for my skin. I have Rosacea, so the fact that such a lightweight makeup could tone down my red with so little effort and look natural, wow...that was it for me! The bare mineral cosmetics made such an impact, the entire class was stunned at the difference. They used me for the example in front of the class, due to the redness in my face.

You can see from the picture below, just how different the two sides of my face look...one side with bare minerals makeup, one without.

Do you have sensitive skin? Do you react to regular make-up? I hated foundation, because to me, I felt it, and I hated that. When I use a kabuki brush and mineral foundation makeup, it's as light as air. I don't even feel it. I also never react to this makeup.

Let me tell you a little secret about the makeup you're currently buying. Make-up companies use fillers, along with fragrances, and talc in your products. There's a better way, and it starts with mineral based makeup.

Do you sometimes fall asleep with your makeup on? Regular makeup can clog your skin, but with mineral based makeup, it's so gentle, it won't damage your skin if you forget to take it off. Mineral make-up doesn't block your pores, and is a non-comedogenic product. It's an inert product, and that means it doesn't harbor bacteria. Once I started wearing natural mineral makeup, I never looked back.

Mineral make-up is dermatologist and plastic surgeon recommended. Many mineral make-up companies include SPF or sun protection factor into their product. In fact, many of them carry brands like Jane Iredale, which is excellent, even after something like a laser peel.

If you're looking for noncomedogenic cosmetics, this is one to add to your list. Because I was so thrilled with this great makeup for Rosacea, I wanted to share my excitement with everyone. My sister now wears it, my mom now wears mineral makeup, and most of my friends have made the switch as well. Every single one of them is changed! They won't go back to traditional makeup after trying crushed mineral makeup. It's a natural product, and is so gentle and skin loving!

I have a nice set of eye shadow brushes, kabuki brushes, along with a nice blush brush. Using great brushes make the difference. I like natural makeup brushes, and they are well worth the investment. My makeup has never looked better.

What is bare minerals makeup? It's very finely crushed minerals, sometimes containing iron oxides. It's a very concentrated pigment, which means, you only need a little bit! It may seem a bit expensive at first, but it lasts so long! One container will last a long time, because you use such a minute amount. I also love that you can layer the color. You can have it be as sheer or as intense as you'd like. I prefer a natural look, so I use it with a sheer application. As I'm getting older, I like to enhance my look, not have people notice makeup.

Did you know that natural mineral make-up can be used for corrective purposes? Did you see my picture above, it helps cover things like discolorations, hyperpigmentation, and redness like with my Rosacea.

I'm not going to say it's an anti aging makeup, but I'll be honest, everyone who I've seen wearing it looks so much better. No more mask like foundation, just a sheer beautiful improvement of their own skin. It's quick and easy to use, and there are so many colors from nature, than you don't have to worry about choosing colors. A natural look is perfect for us as we age.
